This time we are going to recommend you some food out from some really popular restaurant or cafe in the shopping mall or complex. Now let us recommend you the brunch set at Roti Bakar, Bukit Gambier. <div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4135/5221135458_e968e42664_m.jpg" /><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4106/5220538097_27349d1541_m.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">This Roti Bakar is located at Bukit Gambier. It's quite a good place and not bad for dining.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5090/5220538243_2917879c2a.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5005/5220538415_a5a4bb6ac5.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;">At first I would like to recommend everyone of you about this set of curry chicken with fried bun. It looks unique and really delicious when you taste on it. You can see it seems like very light food but if you finished everything, you will feel full! The price for this set of food is quite cheap, can go and take a try!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4118/5220538549_f9f64ae812.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;">This is a bowl of something like economic rice with meats fried with black soya saunce. The set of lunch is quite simple and it's light enough for one lunch! This set of food the overall ranking is just moderate only... you can take a try!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4115/5221136236_9353f5d3e9.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;">The local style of nasi lemak. I like the rice colour... it's so green. OMG! But overall the nasi lemak was nice and it's worth because it served with a chicken paha also with some ikan bilis... Quite a good lunch set. Nice!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4120/5221136354_cc9c9abfe3.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;">What I can say this most probably would be the breakfast set. This is the famous brand of the shop Roti Bakar! It's nice and delicious with the ovened bread and inside there still contains of eggs pieces... Quite nice.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5083/5221136518_c01c9e0aa7.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I love this plate of Satay Fried Rice so much! I already eaten for two times! It's still so delicious. I like it because of the nice taste and it's the special recommend from the shop too! The price not very expensive, with RM 5.90 you can taste this plate of food! After eaten the rice, you still can enjoy the satay! Nice and worth... must try! This is good to let those foodies to have variety choices. Although it has many but some was really attracted many foodies whereas some was just try to survive. On the passed CNY, my uncle brought me to have dinner after the shopping at Gurney Plaza. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="DSC04197 (Large) by houliao988." src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2742/4444618156_289c9e5dee.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>This is Kampung Malabar in chinese we called it as 日本新路.</i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">This place is located along the way of Penang Road and really if you travel Penang Road, you can eat along from the upper street until the lower street. LOL! Penang Road 的美食数之不尽,你可以甚至从街头吃到街尾。</span></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><img alt="DSC04198 (Large) by houliao988." src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4016/4443848793_8bc5f0ea05.jpg" /></span></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><img alt="Mee Sua (Large) by houliao988." src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2754/4443848893_2d4c1ba978.jpg" /></span></i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">This is a bowl of Bihun T'ng which really taste good. It is worth to have that price because one bowl of that contained quite a number of meat pieces. 这碗的米粉汤真得很值得,它不仅大碗而且又很美味,真是值得一尝。</span></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><img alt="Mee Sua 2 (Large) by houliao988." src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4069/4444618448_c6874ec12b.jpg" /></span></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><img alt="Porridge (Large) by houliao988." src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4444618536_e0b2ecf9a0.jpg" /></span></i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">Besides the Bihun Soup this hawker stall also selling porridge which cooked on the spot. I think the features of this stall is the selling fast by on the spot cooking and it seems to be more fresh. There were many people waiting to buy and take away. 除了米粉汤,该档口还提供了了肉粥。它适合小孩的口味。它的特征是因为所有的食物都是现煮的,这样吃起来会比较新鲜!</span></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><img alt="Lok Bak (Large) by houliao988." src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2691/4443849189_87a4c64ee3.jpg" /></span></i></div><div style="text-align: left;">My uncle also ordered a plate of Lok Bak for the tit-bits. Actually this plate of lok bak not really worth because we waited for long time and it was just a little bit. Not really much! A bit expensive lo. 我的姨丈还叫了一盘的卤肉来尝尝。我觉得这盘比较不值得因为我们等了很久而且价钱也不低,料也不是很多。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">In overall it seems not bad in taste and really worth it! So if you got pass by the Penang Road, you should go and take a try. I can recommend to you and you will see a special features on the stall. One of the workers is seems like a "loud speaker", he managed to speak loudly and everyone can hear him but actually he is kind. This stall wil start selling from evening until late night! So you should go for it.

But I prefer the most was the nyonya restaurant which located at Abu Siti Lane. Before this restaurant (Nyonya Breeze) moved, it was located at Tanjong Bungah. There have the nice beach view and really enjoy eating there. Now they permanently moved to Abu Siti Lane and the restaurant had the AC system, it's more comfortable to eat there! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4343240214_a4070818d4.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>The nyonya restaurant</i></div><div>My uncle was the loyal customer. He always brought my aunt and little cousin there to enjoy the nyonya food. Last year December, he brought us to taste for nyonya food! It's really a good nyonya dinner. Anyway, I am GenYong here wish everyone happy new year and have a nice day on year 2010! Alright let see what new restaurant or new shop opening this year... Actually if you're a Penangite, you will realize that there was a Komtar Walk that contain a lot of restaurant and shop. There have Station 1 cafe, Penang Cendul and many more.<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2758/4317493131_f9ab414c49.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>Komtar Walk outlet.</i></div><div>Come on, today I would like to write a blog post about Penang Cendul. I would like to recommend what features on this bowl of Cendul. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2779/4317493697_1101bbfb37.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4066/4318226538_b177777452.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>The bigger bowl of cendul served in the restaurant!</i></div><div>They actually is from Penang Road which located at Lebuh Keng Kwee. Now they open their another outlet which just near the originated site, it's Komtar Walk! I think there were not much different except the price and the environment. The Penang Road is just a hawker stall and those customers have to stand and eat and only cost you RM1.70 compare to the shop, you can find a place to sit and enjoy the bigger bowl of cendul which cost you RM2.50! I tried both before which on today and last month!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4030/4317500851_749f186524.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>They located at Lebuh Keng Kwee.</i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4061/4318233732_857f279ccb.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>The hawker stall at Penang Road.</i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4051/4317500687_116db9c400.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>The bowl of Cendul.</i></div><div>I think the hawker stall is more worth if you just want to taste the cendul. If you need a place to make discussion I suggest you to choose the Komtar Walk which just a few metres from the hawker stall. Besides that they also have their outlets at Subang Jaya and Johor Bharu. I think you must go and take a try and comment it!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4044/4318226050_6a61b1009c.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2485/4318226200_351a047ac9.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4047/4318226338_ff973449d8.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The Komtar Walk Penang Road Cendul new outlet. The better environment but the same taste! It's original.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The location map:<br /><iframe marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Sungai+Ara,+Bayan+Lepas,+Penang,+Malaysia&hl=en&msa=0&msid=114550609481985588441.00047e659c3ddb2da07e3&ll=5.416953,100.330686&spn=0.001485,0.001725&output=embed" frameborder="0" height="350" scrolling="no" width="425"></iframe><br /><small>View <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Sungai+Ara,+Bayan+Lepas,+Penang,+Malaysia&hl=en&msa=0&msid=114550609481985588441.00047e659c3ddb2da07e3&ll=5.416953,100.330686&spn=0.001485,0.001725&source=embed" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255); text-align: left;">Penang Cendul</a> in a larger map</small><br /></div></div>GenYonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12757395731594395696noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8293503536129662368.post-11585463059583684702009-12-29T23:28:00.001+08:002010-01-31T13:53:35.842+08:00Queensbay Mall Kim Gary MealsOn 24th of November when my aunt's birthday, my uncle brought us to Queensbay Mall <a href="http://www.kimgary.com.my">Kim Gary</a> for the birthday dinner. Anyway, Let me explain to you what you celebrate today. Actually Dong Zhi is a festival which directly translate means '<span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Winter Coming</span>'. It's the last festival of the year and before Chinese New Year. Usually people will make 'Tang Yuan' (<span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">汤圆</span>) on the eve of <span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Dong Zhi</span>. 'Tang Yuan' which mean a little glutinous rice ball.<br />In traditional, my grandma told me that while children ate one 'TangYuan' they will elder 1 year old.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/genyong/4204638575/" title="Happy Dong Zhi 2009 by GenYong, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4046/4204638575_ca56cc334f.jpg" alt="Happy Dong Zhi 2009" height="375" width="500" /></a><br /></div>Just now about 10.00am in the morning I woke up and after did praying to ancestral, I ate one small bowl of Tang Yuan. My grandma used <span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Tang Yuan</span> to pray for GOD! Last night, we did the glutinous balls until midnight 12.00am! In total we did for four colours which means four seasons in whole year. I don't know which colour represent what... XD!<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/genyong/4204638713/" title="Happy Dong Zhi 2009 by GenYong, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2628/4204638713_c87e9edc4a.jpg" alt="Happy Dong Zhi 2009" height="375" width="500" /></a><br /></div><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">This is an annual festival event celebrated by Chinese</span>. Mostly peoples will find Sungai Nibong, Bayan Baru, Relau or Sungai Ara. Today I want to recommend you a kopitiam which located opposite Sungai Ara Police Station.<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4176857974/" title="Soup by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2603/4176857974_176a005510.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Soup" /></a><div><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4176857974/" title="Soup by houliao988, on Flickr"></a>Actually this might be the popular kopitiam at night. But do you go before in afternoon? Actually the location is same but just different peoples operate. Anyway, what's the popular meal in their list was the "Sour Spicy Soup" which contained of a lot of tomatoes and spicy item inside. It might make you fresh after ate! If you can't eat spice, you might be sweat on head...<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4176098363/" title="Hokkien Fried by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2685/4176098363_e283fb6daf.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Hokkien Fried" /></a></div><div><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4176098363/" title="Hokkien Fried by houliao988, on Flickr"></a>Next, we had also a plate of Hokkien Fried. We had our tea time there at the curry mee stall which opposite the <b>Harmony View Apartments</b> there. Anyway, I still remembered my dad had brought me there before to eat the curry mee. But it was very long time ago which the old uncle also passed his stall to a young guy.</div><br />My dad recognized the young guy and he always went down to there every week in the purpose to taste out the curry mee. I don't think it's my first time to have the curry mee there. However I more prefer the taste of the old uncle because it taste more original and delicious.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4064373042/" title="Curry Mee by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2653/4064373042_7583ccf716.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Curry Mee" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4064373878/" title="Curry Mee #2 by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2481/4064373878_66e27df71b.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Curry Mee #2" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4064374374/" title="Curry Mee #3 by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2531/4064374374_88025769d0.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Curry Mee #3" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I like this bowl of Curry Mee very much. Although it didn't taste spicy but the soup seems nice! I cannot eat spicy dishes because I will sweat after ate. I love the soup very much and I ate until empty the bowl! Later the Tauke saw it was very happy and asked me delicious kah? XD.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4064374102/" title="Sweetmeats by houliao988, on Flickr"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; "></span></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4064374102/" title="Sweetmeats by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3482/4064374102_07749ce954.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Sweetmeats" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">After having my curry mee then I ordered a bowl of sweetmeats to 'wet' up my mouth and tongue. This sweetmeats actually not very tasty but seems I was too thirsty then I quickly drink it finish. I think it was not bad and you can take a try.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">For more details to this place, you can simply refer to the map that provided below. Actually it's an opposite the Harmony Square which just completed by Belleview Group. Go and take a try, it cost reasonable and I am sure that's no longer this price can be find in Penang. The curry mee one bowl for only RM2.00(small)! Take a try... Anyway, it's more cheap compare with the price from other places. I love the local style and it also near my house. <div>
<br /></div><div>We had ordered some fried vegetables, belacan fried chicken, mushroom cooked mix, steamed egg and many more. Let see what we had ordered:</div>
<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4018599483/" title="Fried Chicken by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2618/4018599483_5d33c5d571.jpg" alt="Fried Chicken" width="500" height="375" /></a>
<br />This was the fried chicken that we had ordered. It tasted nice and really have the local style of the belacan fried chicken. My sister and I love this so much!
<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4019361726/" title="Mushroom by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3528/4019361726_7ff28979d1.jpg" alt="Mushroom" width="500" height="375" /></a>
<br />Next, we had a bowl of mushroom mixed. It fried with some other kind of materials. I love this bowl of meal very much because the mushroom was my favourite!
<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/4019362070/" title="Steamed Egg by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3509/4019362070_9c6a56d285.jpg" alt="Steamed Egg" width="500" height="375" /></a>
<br />Lastly come out with a plate of steamed egg. It steamed with some kind of tasty sauces. It was tasty. That day I ate about three bowls of rice to complete up all the dishes!
<br />
<br />Actually when you go there, you have to called one guy who named Ah Lai to help you order. He will arrange the dishes to you and set all the prices for you. I ensure you won't RUGI la... I will show you the map of the location.

Just left my mum, sister and me at home. So my mum brought us to the nearby restaurant for our dinner. Actually this restaurant was just opened for only two more weeks. It named Yummy which running into the high standard eastern restaurant in the Sungai Ara area.<br /><br />I don't think the others can fight against it. Because it's style really looks like Old Town cafe with chinese feeling. Talk about it's food, I think there were still not bad but still can be improve. Just now we didn't have the rice dinner and we just have a light personal dishes. I ordered <span style="font-weight: bold;">Bai Kut Ba Rice</span>, my sister ordered <span style="font-weight: bold;">Singapore Fried Bihun</span> and my mum ordered a dish of <span style="font-weight: bold;">Char Hor Fun</span>.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/3592641216/" title="Yummy Or Not by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3321/3592641216_a5b7fd391f.jpg" alt="Yummy Or Not" width="500" height="375" /></a><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/3592641122/" title="Outer View by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3658/3592641122_f54606321d.jpg" alt="Outer View" width="500" height="375" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The outer view of the restaurant was nice and standard. I think the concept of this chinese restaurant was copied the idea from some Francais shops such as Old Town or any cafe. It's also provided WiFi and the style really looks like a cafe. Inside still have one LCD TV showing!<br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/3592641346/" title="Curry Prawn by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3606/3592641346_455f851445.jpg" alt="Curry Prawn" width="500" height="375" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: left;">What we have was one (not a bowl) but I don't know how to mention this. It was made by cane tree wood. It's a quite creative style serving the dish and looks like nyonya style. Creative 10/10 but the taste okay la! This cost us RM 16.<br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/3591834083/" title="Char Hor Fun by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2432/3591834083_cf135263c2.jpg" alt="Char Hor Fun" width="500" height="375" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: left;">A plate of Char Hor Fun was ordered by my mum. I think it's not bad but the quantity of Hor Fun was too little and it will not suit me if let me have this. RM 4 per plate will it cost expensive?<br /></div><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/houliao/3592641810/" title="Bak Kut Ba Rice by houliao988, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2473/3592641810_19e1901eb2.jpg" alt="Bak Kut Ba Rice" width="500" height="375" /></a><br /></div>I have a plate of Bak Kut Ba Rice. It's made by Pork meat with some soup on top the rice. Before ordered I thought that's a plate of fried rice with meats. But at the end coming is one plate of plain rice with only some pork meats. Haiz... that's really wrong ordering! Luckily it just cost us RM4.<br /><br />Finally I can conclude that this restaurant taste can still be improved but the quantity must increase! As the price at that area still considered high, if not this restuarant really can't survive! Don't forget there have many restaurants. I can rate it as 4/10! Improve.
